New Year, New Starts, New Weddings

Congratulations! Christmas and New Year has passed and our thoughts turn to all of you that had an extra special festive period… You got engaged!

So where do you start? The first thing to remember throughout all of your planning is to enjoy it. Getting married will be one of the most important days in your life and of course every couple wants it to be special and memorable. However, ensure to make the planning fun.  As a couple come-up with ideas, create mood boards, talk to friends and family; there may be times when you think it’s become too stressful but in reality it probably hasn’t, when you feel it’s too much either delegate or  just take a step back for a moment and then when you are ready, go back to the planning again.

2014 will be an exciting year for both you as a couple and everyone involved with your wedding planning. I myself was asked over the festive period to be a bridesmaid for two very special friends,  so not only will I be getting excited about all the weddings I plan for clients this year but I can also have some fun in help plan a friend’s wedding too, not to mention the hen weekend!

There are plenty of ideas out there this year to consider for your wedding, from an outdoors Secret Garden theme to bright lights and elegance or a black tie glitter ball to fairytale chic. Decide what theme compliments you as a couple. How would your friends and family describe the two of you? What do you love above all else to do together? Remember, enjoy the planning process and be comfortable with your decisions, as this will give you the confidence you need in the final stages leading-up to the big day.

At the Perfect Wedding Company, we look forward to working with all of our couples this year and hope that together we can inspire and create a wedding day for all to remember – Happy New Year!
