For the festival bride!
Are you sick and tired of attending weddings in generic hotel ballrooms? Do you want to stand out and do something different? Do you want your guests talking about your wedding for years to come? If yes, then why not have a festival wedding?
For all you boho brides out there thinking of doing something different from the norm on your wedding day, I’m going to let you in on a few secrets and show you some of my favourite festival trends for 2016.
You’ll have to get married in the lovely warm months of summer if you’re going for a festival theme. Alternatively, the edge of spring/autumn will also suffice but just make sure that it isn’t going to be too chilly.
PATCH OF GRASS
You’re having a festival wedding so it is essential you have luscious green grass, meadows and flowers everywhere.
A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD
Whether you would like an old barn, marquee, tepee or Sperry tent, you name it, we can provide it. We also work with an amazing Central London venue called The LookOut located in Hyde Park which is the perfect venue for a festival wedding. Nestled amongst greenery, The LookOut is hidden in the middle of Hyde Park with an indoor space, large undercover deck and a wonderful outdoor area. With a little bit of elbow grease, this venue could be transformed into an absolute beauty!
POP OF COLOUR
Now comes the fun part! This is where you can go absolutely crazy with décor from boho bunting and bright lanterns to stained glass jam jars and of course a bit of lace.
If you want to do something different, why not treat your guests to an ice cream van or an outdoor photo booth? I am a huge fan of Love Specs – heart shaped glasses that turn light into rainbow hearts with all the proceeds going to a children’s charity in Malawi.
If you tick all these boxes you’ll be sure to throw an amazing wedding that will set you out from the rest and leave your guests wanting more!
